We're big fans. Good coffee, and a very good Mexican Mocha. Tables and chairs in the back.
You know when you're traveling and you just wanna find that random little place that is such a pleasant surprise? That's what this was for us! So unassuming on the outside but inside it was large and adorable. Lots of seating. Service was a little slow but I don't mind waiting for a crafted coffee drink! I got an iced maple latte and it was honestly delicious. Extremely balanced yet flavorful. It wasn't overly sweet and I was very happy about that! Would love to return some time if my travels bring me back!
Went twice one in the evening for cocktails and once in the morning for coffee/breakfast. We had espresso martinis in the evening which were amazing the bar tender was great and the entire vibe of the place is chill. In the morning our service was great the ambiance was still good I think the only real issue is that they only had one barista working, who had to take orders and make both the food and drinks which take time, understandably so. I think they would benefit with having one or two more people work in the mornings at least during peak hours.
What a fun place! It's part of a larger enterprise including a wedding venue S of town. The Manor Line we found out (owner happened into this little shop while we there), reached across all the way to Alexandria so has historic significance. He told us the profits from the Back 40 are directed to local non-profits. Breakfast sandwiches are unique and tasty. Lattes yummy. (Smooth, no bite.) In the restroom you'll use white cotton towels instead of disposable paper towels. It's a whole in the wall but don't miss it. Small and funky and fun, really. Staff very sweet and attentive.
They just opened up their cocktail bar, and man was it good! Coffee and smoothies were already on point, now it's the perfect anytime drink spot.
Pizza is a yes! Prosciutto and honey so yummy. Sub was delish as well. Sat outside in the sun at a picnic table. Have eaten here in winter in the "garage" dining area. It was cozy. Service was with a smile and food was made fresh (expect it to take at least 10 minutes).

This is probably the best pizza I've had in years. They were supposed to reopen I thought by January 2025. But I don't see them anywhere. I was really really hoping they would be around! Can somebody advise us to what happened? Thank you.
